Christine + Ryan Jan 4th Wedding

On any typical day, the Mormon Temple is easily one of the most beautiful sights in all of Washington DC, and, is revered as one of the most beautiful of all the Mormon Temples. But, after a snow storm has settled in, leaving a fresh layer of white morsels upon the ground and on the tree tops there can be no question it is the most beautiful of all creations in the world. Yellow and orange bounce off and the blanket of white offsetting the white stone against a light blue pastel sky, as the gold spires jettison upwards as they reach for the heavens above. There could be no more beautiful place to be married than in the DC Temple.

Christine and Ryan were married on January 4th where snow covered everything in sight and temperatures never got out of the twenties… and for a bride, as beautiful is this is, it does present some challenges. Christine and Ryan braved the cold and arctic temperatures to make some beautiful images and memories, surrounded by loved ones, family, friends and relatives these two are blessed and off to a new beginning together. Please enjoy the photos that follow…

Maia + Jake LDS Wedding

The DC Temple is one of the most beautiful buildings in the DMV area, and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful Mormon temples by its members. Photographing there is always such an amazing time, the Temple itself looms tall with its spires jetting into the blue skies above with a direct connection to Heavenly Father above, the grounds are pristine; the fountain and flower gardens and green lush forest of trees and walking path behind… Maia and Jake were such a beautiful couple- to photograph, and beautiful couple together.

Here is a sneak peek – We wanted to do a first look, which if you are familiar with LDS weddings is not typical, but with Traci’s help, (Maia’s mother- and it’s hard she has a daughter old enough to be getting married), blindfolded the willing groom to be, Jake, and courted both of them to the Temple on the Friday before the wedding to do the first look.

Jake and his family are from Utah so there was not time to do an engagement session so we held a post-wedding shoot…

A huge thanks goes out to Dustin Gates for assisting me for the first-look and on the wedding day.

Good luck Mr. & Mrs. Jake and Maia Green, may your lives be blessed with lots of love and little ones….

Chris Napier - These are amazing! What makes this even better is seeing this young couple blessing their lives with an Eternal Marriage. Congrats and God bless.

Tina Ginsburg - WOW! these photos are breath taking. The picture in front of the fountain, with the purple shading at the bottom is stunning. What a lucky couple to have a photographer that is so talented and takes such pride in his work. They will cherish these pictures.

Alison + Luke E-Session

Luke loves Alison. Alison adores Luke. Luke and Alison are getting hitched September 28. Alison Smith will then be Alison Sargent… Meet Alison and Luke. These guys are terrific people on their own- but as a couple there is just this magic. Hanging out with them on the Saturday morning we photographed around their new house they have recently purchased… and yes if you caught the little clue…  these two were meant to be together. We spent the morning together around DC… Their wedding is going to be so much fun. I look forward to photographing their special day…
